Years ago, when I had a home based pressed and dried flower business, my very favorite flowers to press were anemones. They had to be extremely fresh, so I often grew my own. My two daughters and I would putz around the garden, deciding what flowers to plant where, what colors were more interesting to use, and so on. The girls enjoyed it at the time and these days still bring back sweet memories.
Anemones come in varying colors -- red, blue, deep purple, lighter violet -- and they are versatile flowers. I centered them into this particular glass painting with larkspur and delphinium surround them. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as the memories it conjures up for me.

At first glance, being a Colorado girl, I see an electric sunset over the mountains. Being an ex-California girl, I see an electric sunset over tumultuous waters. TV Panel Triptych
Finished TV re-made TV cabinet aspen triptych. This is the culmination of the past 6 days. It started with the purchase of a new flat screen that didn't fit into our old cabinet. So, instead of buying one, we cut off the top and re made it. The panels are collage aspen with acrylic. For the whole story and more photos click over to my blog.

Aspen Cabinet Panel by Saundra Lane Galloway
The purchase of a flat screen TV prompted a personal painting challenge for me. We cut down an old cabinet and I am painting the three doors to go in front. This is panel number one. Pine wood door with gesso base. I've collaged aspen over acrylic paint with some bits of paper leaves thrown in for good measure.
