Big Red by Pam Holnback

Big Red
6" x 6" Oil on panel
$100.00 + $10. s/h

We don't really name our coffee cups, but this one is just so big and so red!  I don't have any bright red creamers or tea cups, and wanted something really red.   I also wanted to continue painting reflections, but, those on the object, not on the table.

Morning Gold ~Janice Warriner

Morning Gold

I set up this still life which consists of models: wine glass, wine bottle (I forgot to pour myself the wine!), grapes, white napkin to the left and a pear on a white plate. It seems like quite a bit to get in on this canvas that measures 6 by 6 inches. The whole thing really took on a golden glow, from the sun and the cardboard background it was set up against.

30 Minute Ballet Sketch

Again, this is where I ended up at the 30 minute mark. I think this painting also, like the last has good possibilities. I will post the results of these, as I finish them up this week. The exhibition at the Grange was a success! It was a lot of fun, and I was able to meet new people, which is always great!

The next new venture on the horizon is that I will be painting with PAAC (plein air painters of colorado) in Taos New Mexico. More news on that to come!

The Crack of Dawn - Tetons

It was magical. It had snowed in the mountains during the night. At the crack of dawn the peak of the mountains reflected brilliant yellow and the rest was bright pink. As the sun rose the yellow advanced and the pink receded. An awesome sight, and well worth the early wakeup and frigid cold. In a few minutes the show was over, and we headed for hot coffee and breakfast.
This 6 x 8 original oil painting is available for $125. To purchase, please contact me at mbbrock@comcast.net . To see more of my paintings check out www.MiriamBrockFineArt.com

Susan Spohn --- Three Days Health

Three Days' Health
7 x 7
Oil on Board
This is a very thickly painted piece that I painted mainly with a pallet knife. It started off as a still life, but since one of the apples was needed for lunch, I took a quick photo and continued to paint, munching on my apple. I don't think I am meant to be a still life painter. Anyway, the 3 apples and 3 garlic cloves made a nice composition. This painting is for sale for $85.00 and this price includes free shipping in the Continental USA. Please contact me by e-mail for more information: susanmspohn@gmail.com

30 minute ballet sketch Janice warriner

You can see I was not able to get as far as this one, since it is larger, 9 by 12 oil on canvas. I have spent additional time on a sketch underneath the oils, but not much, maybe, 10 minutes. The paint application stopped at exactly 30 minutes. This one has a lot of good possibilities and I am going to pick it up again.

Bathed in Light ~J. Warriner

Another ballet painting! I have been timing myself to paint only 30 minutes per painting today. I worked on four different ballet paintings, and found it to be quite effective. Why? not sure, maybe it was because I felt the need to get the important things down first, and not be, couldn't be concerned with any detail at all. I'm going to do this exercise more often. I am quite happy with the results. Whe I spend more time on a painting, I begin getting "picky" and it begins to feel tight and contrived, everything opposite as to what I am trying to convey. These ballet paintings are meant to be light and airy. This painting is 9 by 12 oil on canvas panel, please visit my website at http://www.janicewarriner.com/

KMD2588 Fleeting Moment by Kit Hevron Mahoney (landscape, Southwest, original oil painting)

"Foothills Sunset" by Astrid Paustian

Pastel, 15" x 18.5", matted and framed to 20" x 24", $ 325.-
Another beautiful Colorado Sunset. Even in Winter, when the hills have turned brown, the skies offer a spectacular display of color. Pastel is a great medium to quickly put this impression on paper, layering color, without having to wait for paints to dry.

The Red Scarf 7 x 5 Acrylic Urban Landscape of Florence Italy

$125.00 + $10.00 S/H

On my trip to Italy I spent only one day and one night in Florence. Even though it was a short experience I packed all I could into it. With my camera glued into my hand I tried to immerse myself in all Florence had to offer. This painting was from a scene just after enjoying one of the best diners of my life. The people and city were as intoxicating as the food.
