COLORADO ABSTRACT DAILY PAINTER KIMBERLY CONRAD

From Og Mandino's Book, The Greatest Salesman In The World:
"In the orient, young bulls are tested for the fight arena in a certain manner. Each is brought into the ring, and allowed to attack a picador who pricks them with a lance. The bravery of each bull is then rated with care, according to the # of times he demonstrates his willingness to charge in spite of the STING of the blade. Henceforth, will I recognize that each day I am tested by life in a like manner. If I PERSIST, if I continue to try, if I continue to charge forward, I WILL SUCCEED."
This is sooo true in every area of our lives, but today I'm thinking about this business of ART. Most of us have felt the STING of rejection, the STING of self doubt, the STING of being excluded, the STING of a show with little or no sales, the STING of spending the entire day painting something that when completed, looks like C__P!. Bravery is to get up and do it all again the next day ANYWAY!!!!
