This painting is very close to my heart. It is about me mourning the loss of my 2 1/2year old daughter. As I lay on a bed of water, underneath the water there is painted very delicately a white rose, for Jenna, my daughter in heaven. The background was done with the intention of using color to show me moving in and out of a tough depression. Only through painting can I describe how this time in my life stripped me to the core.
