"PORTRAITS FROM THE PAST" by Littleton artist
ROSEMARY LAUGHLIN
This painting had it's roots in a workshop with the great
Cheng Khee Chee ten years ago. Among his many lessons and demonstrations was the day spent with ink on crumbled masa paper. At that time, I didn't "see" anything in all those smudges so brought it home and forgot about it. Years later I pulled it out and right away saw the faces. I had a lot of pleasure developing them and now seem to see faces in most non-realistic works-mine or others'. There are more visages that could be developed but I will leave that to the viewer. This painting
is SOLD but prints are available.
