I have been having such fun with the abstracted landscapes that I decided to go back to my other passion; flowers. I really love the composition of this scene even thought I no longer remember where I took the photo, but it probably was shot at our Botanic Gardens here in Denver. I still strive to go more simplified, using fewer brushstrokes with each one applied with purpose. It is really a challenge and keeps me from getting lazy in my painting approach.
