I have wanted to paint this scene since finding it last spring on my visit to Texas and the Hill Country when the bluebonnets were in bloom. I was drawn to the amazing red cliff in the background that contrasted all the brilliant spring greens in the grasses. I loved the serenity of the slow flowing creek in the middle of the scene.
I have painted this larger and am showing it in our upcoming "Landscape Personified" show this Friday at
