This is another oil painting inspired by the window boxes of one of our local eateries with a brew pub here in Salida, Colorado. They always have amazing floral window boxes overflowing with beautiful flowers each summer. I used a lot of thick paint on most of these flowers, giving it more of a 3-dimensional feeling. Looking at this painting, I want to leave the studio and enjoy some lunch at this establishment! This is a 7 x7 inch painting on 1/2 board, requiring no framing.
