I love the fancy chicken breeds! This is a Phoenix Rooster and they have very long tail feathers that drag behind them, probably not that great of a design for the chicken... but a great visual sight. This is one of two paintings I painted for a chicken painting commission. This one is fanciful and they other, although humorous, was  a little more realistic. Of course the customer gets to choose which one they want, and I have fun painting both of them!
