"Wild One", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

 Wild One

This is a little mini that came together using painted papers, inks, and a ton of mark making!  It was pure joy to create it, not knowing where it might end up.  This painting is offered as part of an online event that is going on March 3rd and 4th on Facebook.  You can find the link to this event here:  https://www.facebook.com/events/254982562850757

There are so many wonderful pieces of work by several different artists.  We would love for you to come and check it out!  And maybe, just maybe, this Wild One was made just for you!

Pink Blossoms contemporary fine art painting

Oh so ready for spring;
Pink Blossoms is bright and cheery limited edition print on acrylic.
Hang against a light wall or in the window to create a stained glass look.

PINK
Brighter pinks are youthful, fun, and exciting, while vibrant pinks have the same high energy as red; they are sensual and passionate without being too aggressive. Toning down the passion of red with the purity of white results in the softer pinks that are associated with romance and the blush of a young woman's cheeks. It's not surprising that when giving or receiving flowers, pink blossoms are a favorite. Pink is the color of happiness and is sometimes seen as lighthearted. For women who are often overworked and overburdened, an attraction to pink may speak of a desire for the more carefree days of childhood.

How the color pink affects us physically

• Bright pinks, like the color red, stimulate energy and can increase the blood pressure, respiration, heartbeat, and pulse rate. They also encourage action and confidence.

• Pink has been used in prison holding cells to effectively reduce erratic behavior. (ask.com)

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit. ~Robert Louis Stevenson
