This barn is located outside of Joseph, Oregon, on the road to Imnaha. I fell in love with it as we passed by on a recent trip to visit my daughter in Enterprise. I love the way it looks like the barn is smiling! Wallowa County Barn by Kate Dardine

Yet another Wallowa County Barn. This one is near Lostine. The reference picture I took was during winter on an overcast day, but I wanted to paint a Fall scene with sunny skies!

Haven't named this one yet - so for now it is Fall Barn, Wallowa County. It is a 10 x 10 oil on gallery-wrapped canvas, and will be available for purchase at Kelly's Gallery in Joseph, Oregon in a few weeks. If you are ever in the northeast corner of Orefon, you'll want to take the scenic drive through Hell's Canyon and stop in the quaint little town of Joseph. Wonderful galleries and fantastic public sculptures.

I love the lighting in this painting, and the contrast of the bright red barn glowing against the yellow-green fields in the background. A perfect day in Northeast Oregon!

Branded Barn near Joseph, Oregon by Kate Dardine

This cute little barn is outside of Joseph, Oregon on the way to the Ferguson Ski Area (affectionately known as "Fergie".) I'm not sure what the brand means, but I love the happy look it gives the barn.

Wallowa County Barn - Winter by Kate Dardine

This is a little 5x7 painting. I am working on a series of barn paintings depicting the barns of Wallowa County in northeast Oregon. My daughter and her husband and children recently moved there from Ft. Collins, and I went there for a visit in February. Beautiful country! If you've never been, its worth the trip! The paintings will be at Kelly's Gallery on Main Street in Joseph, Oregon.
