"Peppy Pansies" by Karla Nolan, original watercolor painting matted to 8"x10"

Just less than a week until autumn officially begins.  Hard to believe, this summer has flown by!  The pansies will thrive for a little while longer, thankfully.  These were not the easiest to paint, the colors varied so much in the petals.  They are a fine reminder of warm weather, I believe.

"Peppy Pansies", watercolor painting, approximately 3.5"x4.5" image in off-white mat to fit 18"x10" frame, $60 includes s/h in continental U.S., click Paypal button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

"Stiefmuetterchen" by Astrid Paustian

Watercolor, 9" x 11", sold.
Pansies are called Stiefmuetterchen , or stepmothers, in German.
Flowers are popping up everywhere in the garden. I am bringing out my watercolors and oils, ready for some flower painting. I do like to switch from one medium to another from time to time. It always gives me a fresh perspective and a new, creative approach to a particular subject.

"Purple Pansies Portrait", by Karla Nolan, palette knife, brush, oil painting, linen pan

I just love pansies.  I always have, always will.  Years ago I owned a pressed and dried flower business -- I planted, picked, pressed/dried flowers and made them into pieces of art.  Pansies were among my favorite flowers to use.  Purple pansies rock!

"Purple Pansies Portrait", 8"x10" palette knife and brush oil painting on linen panel, sold unframed, $100 includes s/h in U.S., to be determined elsewhere at time of sale; please write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

I have set up a second website, Paintings On Glass, to showcase my paintings on glass.  There is a piece in progress as I type with sailboats.  That's a true challenge, showing proper structure and making the water look good.  Be sure to check it out, along with my new blogspot, listed below.
