This painting was done following Doug's painting concepts in the dvd I mentioned a couple of posts ago. It was a lesson in painting the landscape quickly with a large brush and therefor, very little or, no detail at all. The point is to put down the important information: colors, direction and whatever else captures you about the scene for studio purposes. It's an excellent teaching DVD, and Doug is a great guy.
