Peyto Lake
12 by 16 oil on canvas
I still have some work to do on this one, the area in the bottom left is muddy up on the mountain, and now that it is posted, i notice the cloud in the upper left is the same line as the snow in the mountain. It is something that will need to be altered. The reason this lake appealed to me is the obvious distinctive shape it has. I find it very unusual and interesting. And I really liked the perspective on this. Peyto Lake, (pea-toe) is a glacier-fed lake located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies.
