I painted this rooster about a year ago. It seemed a fitting subject to post while on vacation in Kauai with my husband. What a beautiful place! Of course we are enjoying the tropical vegetation and wonderful beaches, but there are roosters and chickens everywhere!
They are a beautiful sight, and I am having fun doing sketches and taking many photos.
Other favorite subjects to paint here are the ocean, sunsets, tropical flowers and birds.
While on vacation, I am doing many sketches and watercolor studies. Posting these is difficult and may have to wait until after our return.
