While my brand new tropical Flower paintings are drying I am posting this poppy, done just prior to our vacation,
3 weeks ago.
I love painting on gessobord, a new surface for me. I like the way the white surface reflects light through the layers of color, which gives the oil paintings an almost transparent appearance. Paints take a little longer to dry on this new surface, but I think it is worth the wait.
