I was born in Alberta Canada, and am very familiar with the Canadian Rockies. Many countless weekends, camping, hiking, mountain biking were spent in and around the entire Banff area. This serene scene was done from a photograph that a friend of mine had taken on her first trip to The Rockies. She had a great time, and was kind enough to give me several of her photos to paint.
