While in Costa Rica in February I shot some photos of tropical foliage. Using this referrence material, I wanted to paint the colourful flowers and leaves, but I didn't want to get caught up in the detail. I wanted to capture the lushness of the plants, their brilliant colour and the play of the the light on the leaves. This is the 2nd of three in the series and my favourite!
