Susan Spohn---Local Circus Needs Art

Our local Salida Circus will be holding an art show in March of 2012 with the proceeds to benefit the Salida Circus Outreach Foundation. They prefer a circus themed painting, and I plan to contribute a small painting to this wonderful, fun organization. I will paint a small piece (7 x 7) in the next few weeks, which I will post when it is finished. I thought other artists on this blog may want to contribute one of their daily paintings also; so I am including the directors contact information. After all, what could be more fun than painting the circus? The colors and movement, animals, the high-flyers, jugglers, clowns, folks on silts, and all the funny faces.....

(The Salida Circus will be celebrating its 5th anniversary next April. Along with a big show and parade we will be having an art show entitled "Celebrating Circus Spirit." The location of this show is to be determined, but it will be in Salida.
All art work will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Salida Circus Outreach Foundation, our 501c3 that raises money for scholarships for children to attend circus workshops, camps, etc.
If you would like to contribute a work of circus art to the "Celebrating Circus Spirit" show, please contact Jennifer Dempsey at jenld68@yahoo.com . All work must be completed by March 2012.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thank you for your interest and support!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Dempsey, director
Salida Circus)
