I painted this still life set up with acrylics in my studio this morning. The color of the creamer vase, is not accurate to this photo, it's shown much more purple, but I'm not able to capture the color correctly with the camera. At any rate, it's a good 1 hr. study. I've been in a "rut" lately unable to break through, so I've just decided to go ahead anyways. Painting timed studies helps me to get through. It limits what I see in front of me to the bare essentials and I wanted a lot of color and brushstroke to show through with this painting.
