The painting is done in a heavy impasto/palette knife style to give a greater sense of depth to the painting.
Flower season is here and sunflowers are some of the most loved flowers of all. Maybe it's the way they sway with the wind or move with the sun. Even though I don't grow sunflowers in my garden I still love to see them every summer in the fields.
