Contemporary Impressionist Landscape Painting,Fine Art Oil Painting,“Hibernation” by Colorado Contemporary Fine Artist Jody Ahrens

The deer and elk migrated weeks ago to the warmer valley below. The animals that stay behind will find a cozy place under the snow to hibernate, fish will live comfortably under the ice and aspens shed their leaves. Occasionally a wind breaks the winter silence as it whistles through the tree tops. The tall pines sway back and forth, adding a soft rhythmic creaking to the gentle sounds of Winter.
