This isolated homestead can be found deep in Colorado’s Unaweep Canyon. It was built by the Walker family in 1911, who were Delta County stone masons. As many as 11 children and grandchildren lived in this 30’ x 27’ cabin while additional family dwellings were being built. In addition, one room was usually occupied by the rural school teacher. Today, many people have living rooms that are 30' x 27'.
