In the American Southwest, one of the most iconic sounds is that of coyotes, howling at sunset. I loved painting this coyote, and filled the painting with the gorgeous, thick yellows, roses, and purples of  desert sunset.

Southwest Colorado is gorgeous in the autumn, and I painted this 20x16 oil from a visit to Telluride. The sunlight shining through the aspens was brilliant and I had to paint it!
