"54 Strokes" By Kelli Miller


Last year I went to Carol Marine's workshop. Which was fantastic by the way! She had us count our brushstrokes. That way each stroke had a purpose. It was a great lesson for me. So, this little pear was done in 54 brushstrokes. :)

Pears are always a great subject to paint as a small study.
Besides, it is my belief that every kitchen deserves at least one pear or chick painting on the wall.
I had a lot of fun playing with the colors, to give the pear an almost transparent appearance. Let's face it.I love color!
