This is one of the pieces that I have hanging at Summerland Gardens.  I photographed it there, instead of in my usual spot, and there's a slight glare.  I'll try to get over there and re-photo it.
I'm not sure that all of these are mighty fine wines, but...

In painting this series of four I used both white and red wines.  It not only made it more fun for me, I thought that that would give the client more color choices.  After meeting with her I thought that I should have asked if they preferred white or red wine.  In retrospect, I'm glad that I didn't as I might have only painted that color.

I received a commission to paint a wine glass.  This client had purchased two of my other pieces, wine bottles and corks with a cork screw.  She wanted a third, knowing that that would look better in her home.  It isn't always that you get to see where your pieces are and how your pieces look in someone's home.  But, she invited me over to get my opinion, see her colors, and see about the third piece.  The two paintings are hanging in their great room, over a small bureau that they use as a bar.  They look great (if I may say so myself.)  I hope to be able to see the third, when it's up.  I loved painting the wine glass.  So, I painted four and let her choose the one she wanted.

This is one of 2 pieces that I have in the 6" Squared Show at Randy Higbee Gallery in Costa Mesa, California. The Gala Artists Reception is this weekend:  Saturday, December 4 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm and Sunday, December 5, from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. I'm always giving myself assignments (it's hard to have taught for so long and not continue to think along those lines.)  I've decided that I need to paint elipses, circles and spheres.  So, that's what you'll be seeing for awhile.
