Garden Gardian, original acrylic painting by artist, Susan Spohn

Garden Guardian

16 x20

original acrylic painting

The second painting in my new series of outdoor paintings. Who isn't amazed by the crows that take over our outdoor spaces. The definitely demand our attention, with their loud voices and shapes. I painted this painted with the crow perched in a statue-like manner to act like a guardian, placed in the abundant flower garden. Visit my website for more information:  SpohnStudio.com

Susan Spohn-- Midsummer Enchantment

Midsummer Enchantment, diptych

3 ft. x 6 ft

oil on boxed wood panel

This painting has been on my easel for two weeks now. It has taken so long because of its ornate nature and my recent busy schedule. Since this is such a large painting, it is more difficult to get a decent photo. This one is pretty good. When you stand in front of this painting you are enveloped into this wonderfully blooming garden, it is so resplendent with blooms, butterflies and birds. This painting is for sale, contact me for information on shipping.

Susan Spohn --- Red-Winged Black Bird

Red-Winged Black Bird

5x7

oil on board

Some of you will remember this piece, or think it looks familiar. It is the colorized version of my value study piece. The original piece was just in shades of gray and black---I will post it at the bottom. I have had this painting sitting around the studio for months, always intending to eventually add the color to it, and today was the day. That splash of red on the wing is just what this painting needed, no wonder nature gave this bird such a lovely wing! This painting is for sale for $55.00 and includes free shipping in the Continental USA. All others, please contact me for shipping prices.
