Susan Spohn -- Jaguar Behind the Garden

Jaguar Behind the Garden

8" x 15.5"

oil on panel

Another walk on the wild side....  This painting started out with bluebirds.... but it was just too conventional so instead I painted the jaguar. I like this setting, don't you? This painting is for sale for $200.00 plus shipping. Contact me to purchase or visit my website: SpohnStudio.com

Susan Spohn-- Midsummer Enchantment

Midsummer Enchantment, diptych

3 ft. x 6 ft

oil on boxed wood panel

This painting has been on my easel for two weeks now. It has taken so long because of its ornate nature and my recent busy schedule. Since this is such a large painting, it is more difficult to get a decent photo. This one is pretty good. When you stand in front of this painting you are enveloped into this wonderfully blooming garden, it is so resplendent with blooms, butterflies and birds. This painting is for sale, contact me for information on shipping.

Susan Spohn --- Alley Garden II

Alley Garden II

16 x 20

SOLD

My first painting, a 7 x 7 inch size entitled Alley Garden sold right away. Since then several others have wished it was theirs! And one customer ordered a similar piece. This painting has an airier feeling to it, which I am liking a lot. Good to be back in the studio again today!

Susan Spohn --- Alley Garden

Alley Garden

7 x 7

oil on wood panel

I frequently take my camera along when I walk about town in hopes of finding more flowers planted in miscellaneous areas. Strolling through one of the alleys, I came upon a very nice flower garden. It was just a strip of color next to the alley and an old building with colorful trim. This painting is for sale for $85.00. Contact me regarding purchasing and shipping. susanmspohn.blogspot.com

Susan Spohn -- FLoral Yellow Primrose Garden

Yellow Primrose Garden

Another pallet knife painting, I finished yesterday. I like the lush colors and all the texture in this piece. I must really be craving summertime, I just want to paint florals right now. Susan Spohn -- Floral--Mason Jar Wildflower Bouquet

Mason Jar Wildflower Bouquet

15 x 15

oil on board

Today I finished the second in the series of Mason Jar florals. This piece is a bit looser and more Impressionistic. Once again most of the painting was painted using pallet knives. This piece is for sale for $225.00 and includes free shipping in the Continental USA. It is painted on 1/2" beveled board, will be varnished and will have a traditional hanging system on the back. It does not need to be framed. Visit my blog for more details: susanmspohn.blogspot.com

Susan Spohn -- Botanical Iris

Daily Floral Painting--

Botanical Iris

7 x 5

oil on board

I loved this reference photo that I took at the Denver Botanical Gardens. The bright yellows of the flowers really popped and they seemed like such an elegant flower. I introduced a more vivid background, enhancing the vividness of their yellow blooms even further. This painting is for sale for $55.00 and includes free shipping in the Continental USA. Susan Spohn --- Floral- East Garden I

New Floral--

Floral -- East Garden I

5 x 7

Oil on Board

Back to painting a few small floral paintings. Concentrating on just a snippet of space within a photograph, I painted just a few flowers. I didn't include any of the background flowers, or landscape, intending for the eye to just observe a few blossoms in a moment in time. This painting is for sale for $55.00 and can be purchased by clicking the PayPal icon on my blog, or you can contact me by e-mail to pay with a personal check. This price includes FREE shipping in the Continental USA.
