KMA2855 Evolving Spaces by Colorado contemporary artist Kit Hevron Mahoney

I am finally in the process of creating a series of abstract paintings based on natural forms found in nature. This series is inspired from my latest trip to Kauai where I photographed some exquisite close ups from the bark of a Eucalyptus tree. The colors and patterns thrilled me as I looked through the camera and even more as I paint my interpretation on canvas.

Modern Abstract Daily Painting by Kimberly Conrad

Abstract painting on 18x18x1 1/2 gallery wrapped canvas.
This is another piece in the black and white Angry River series. As I said on the last post, it's very difficult to get a proper picture of these black and whites. One light darkens the white, and another light washes out the black. The black is, in fact very deep and rich, and the white has a beautiful shimmer, as it is a metallic paint. "I'd rather change my mind and succeed, than have my own way and fail" ROBERT SCHULLER

Modern Abstract Daily Painting by Kimberly Conrad

Angry River VII, part of the black and white Angry River Series. "Poured" painting on 18x18x1 1/2 gallery wrapped canvas, pattern continues around the sides, ready to hang.
These black and white pieces are always very difficult to photograph in a way that captures both the depth of the black, and the beautiful shimmer of the metallic white, but they are really very rich, striking pieces. For purchase inquiries, contact Kimberly at kkconrad2@aol.com

COLORADO ABSTRACT DAILY PAINTER KIMBERLY CONRAD

My thoughts today are on the subject of Forgiveness. If you have ever been wrongfully accused, you know that it is both shocking, and very painful. Proverbs 15:13 says "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart, the spirit is broken" To not forgive another is one of many things that cause sorrow to the heart, so Forgiveness of another is not only commanded by our Heavenly Father, but it is a gift we give ourselves.
