This painting has quite a range of reds and oranges that the camera was not able to capture completely.
I had a lot of fun painting the poppy last weekend while working the front desk at the Art Center of Estes Park.
Poppies, like everything else in our garden, were in a real hurry to bloom during this hot and dry spring. So happy we've been getting some late day thundershowers recently.
