I have many great friends and clients who graciously share their photographs with me to use as inspiration for my paintings. This is one such gift. My friend Susan sent me this one and I fell in love with it. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a Cardinal in real life, but after painting this one I can't wait to meet one face to face.
