It is always nice to buy new art supplies. Some are necessities and others are bought on a whim. Lately, I find myself limiting my purchases. Squeezing the last dab of oil paint out of a tube, or still using a brush when clearly the bristles have worn down to the nub. But I also like to buy a new brush or especially a new painting knife.
Flower Shop Flower Stalks

Today's painting was inspired by a bunch of flowers in a floral shop.
Their were many varieties all kept in large clear glass vases. The tall
stalks of the mostly leafless stems really stood out and made the

I painted most of this painting with my newest painting knife. It has a
