Contemporary Abstract Whimsical Chess Game Painting "THE QUEEN ADVANCING" by Contemporary Realism Artist Carol A. McIntyre

Which way is the Queen moving? The configurations of arches, columns and stairways in old art museums have always fascinated me. The perspectives are exaggerated to stimulate your imagination. What will be your next move? Can you find the horse, the bishop and the symbols representing a deck of cards?

This composition challenges your perspective. I wanted to pull you in and invite you to "play the game." Does it do that? Notice also how the wall on the right does not line up with the wall on the left. Ah.....isn't that fun and intriguing?

This painting is gallery wrapped, which means it does not need to be framed and is ready to hang.
