This is painting #42 of my Painting a Day project. It is a 12x12" oil on stretched canvas - a bit larger than my usual daily paintings. I am donating "Althea" to a fundraiser for "Memories in the Making", an art therapy program for Alzheimer's patients. Painting # 31 of my Painting A Day project. She looks a little annoyed as she waits, clinging to the top of the post in the light of the full moon. Perhaps she is waiting for her mate, or for dinner to scurry by in the tall grass below. Or perhaps she is waiting for you to put your plans into action, to stop holding on to the past and to fly fearlessly into the future. Available at Old Town Art and Framery.
