Painting #30 of my Painting a Day project. Twilight Bear is resplendent in her designer coat! This is one of those paintings that have a mind of their own. My original idea was to paint a more realistic bear, but she had different ideas. And when a bear has ideas, well, you just step aside and let her go! Twilight Bear is 6x6", oil on stretched canvas, ready to frame. Click here for purchase information.
Painting #10 of my Painting A Day Project. Every March I wait in eager anticipation of the first Meadowlark. Although I still see a few during the winter, it isn't until very early spring that the males throw back their heads and sing with joyous abandon. 4"x4" oil on stretched canvas, ready for framing. $35.00
This little sparrow is embellished with metallic gold paint. The photo does not do it justice!
Actually a Broadtail Hummingbird, this little bird was a gift from my friend and mentor, Clive Tyler. He found it frozen to a branch one cold day in Autumn a few years ago. Knowing that I collect birds (and keep them in a freezer in my studio!), he gave me the tiny treasure. Last night I decided to paint it! This little gem is approximately 4x4", oil on linen panel, ready to frame. Only $35 plus shipping.
