This is a 20"x36" acrylic on canvas painting. There is a lot of texture buildup with the use of a palette knife. The image that I worked from was a photo that I shot in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was late day and overcast. I enhanced the colors in the painting as I often do. The think that the antlers of the deer truly look like the deer is in the velvet, meaning new antlers.
