It's been a while since I've posted a painting. I've been traveling quite a bit, but that's now excuse. Truthfully, I just lost my creative mojo. But now I'm back feeling refreshed and ready to paint like crazy!!

I don't know this cute pooch, but I would take him home in a heartbeat!!

The owner told me these litter mates are very lively and full of mischief.  They sure look like it.  Their names are Joey and Jets.  A dog named Jets probably doesn't spend a lot of time lounging around. lol

This is Jack. He is my 5 year old going on 6 month old lab. If I were to tell you all of his antics I would have a blog that rivals Marley and Me. Actually... Jack makes Marley look like an angel. But I love him anyway:)

Funny story about this painting. I started it 41/2 years ago. It was going so well that I became frozen with fear that I would screw it up. After I did the painting of Tucker, I thought that it just wasn't fair to Jack so I dug this out and finished it! Suddenly I love painting dogs!!!

This is my precious Yorkie, Tucker. He was about four months old in this painting. Hard to believe he is almost six years old now. When he was a puppy he was black and tan, now he is silver and tan. Coincidentally it was six years ago that I started painting...does this make him my muse??

My daughter was married in July and since then, I've been very focused on my painting.  So focused that I haven't spent much time on the computer.  I have been working hard to improve my brushwork and color and feel that I'm starting to get a little more consistent results.  My goal is to soon be posting art on a regular basis, but for now I'm staying up to my elbows in wet paint.

Here's a little piece that I did on Friday.  I haven't titled him yet, but it's a late afternoon setting, and he seems to be looking in the distance for a familiar person to run and greet....
