"Dark Hills, Bright Skies" by Karla Nolan palette knife and brush watercolor painting

This is another experimental piece in watercolor using both brush and palette knives.  Always up for a new challenge, eh?  The paper is a bit rougher than others I've tried, hence the more textured sky.  Bottom line:  I AM HAVING FUN!

"Dark Hills, Bright Skies",  palette knife and brush watercolor painting, approximately 5"x7" image in beige mat to fit 8"x10" frame, $60 includes s/h in continental U.S., click Paypal button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

"Chicken Little Was Right (Colorado Sunset)" by Karla Nolan, matted watercolor painting

If memory serves me correctly, Chicken Little believed that the sky was falling.  Well, in this case, it appears to be happening.  This is how the sun sets in our fair state of Colorado some evenings!

"Chicken Little Was Right (Colorado Sunset)", watercolor painting, 7.5"x9.75" image in off-white mat to fit 11"x14" frame, $145 includes s/h in continental U.S., click Paypal button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

This painting was inspired by early evening light. It reminded me of Mexico, and so do the colors I used in this painting. To purchase or view other paintings, visit my website:  SpohnStudio.com
