This painting is of a scene from a late summer day at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver, CO. It was painted for the upcoming Colorado Governor's Invitational Art Show and Sale that opens on April 27, 2013. This is a fabulous show that I am proud to be invited to participate in. This is my 11th year with this show.

While waking my dog Farley after closing Brushstrokes for the day I came across this glowing scene of Lilies. They are such beautiful flowers growing and adding such brightness to the world, and seem to be oblivious to the heat that I am complaining about!
