It was May of 2013, a very difficult time in life as my father had passed away. We escaped to France. May is poppy month and we were fortunate enough to be able to view the many coquelicot fields around this little village, Najac. Seeing these happy hills of red soothed my shattered nerves a bit. Looking back, I recall the emotions of losing a beloved person, those feelings never leave. But France helped.

Yup, still at it with the watercolor and ink paintings. My neck hates me, though. I am more accustomed to standing, hopefully straight, and painting with a palette knife on canvas. I just have been enjoying this media, remembering my dad's passion for painting with watercolor and ink, not the same subject matter, but the memories are great.
