Another one of my new orchid paintings. What gorgeous flowers! I am preparing some orchid paintings for our next show at the Art Center of Estes Park in February and March. I bought this plant at a local supermarket 3 months ago and it has been a great joy to observe and paint during these winter months.

What fun to do "research" purchasing one of these beautiful plants, observing and painting it from different angles. I wonder if maybe a trip to a tropical destination would be in order to do further research...
