Another one of my new orchid paintings. What gorgeous flowers! I am preparing some orchid paintings for our next show at the Art Center of Estes Park in February and March. I bought this plant at a local supermarket 3 months ago and it has been a great joy to observe and paint during these winter months.

It seems that I just can't get enough of these orchid paintings. My beautiful white orchid plant seems to be enjoying the attention and put out new buds during the past week. Many of my orchid and bird paintings can be seen at the Canyon Gallery of the Boulder Public Library during the Boulder Solstice Holiday Exhibit and Sale. Please see the flier below. I bought this orchid at the grocery store last week to prepare for a tropical flower painting. It was a wonderful way to escape the cold and snowy weather. I am learning a lot about these flowers while working on small studies and could not be enjoying it more.
